Supervised Contact
Familyfocus believes that a good 'attachment' between a child and parent/significant other, is one of the main contributory factors to a stable family life and key to providing a positive foundation on which children and adults can grow both emotionally, physically and psychologically together.
To assist we produce detailed reports on the meeting, which are shared by both adults and if appropriate, the child. Our reports can be used within the Court arena and they include both an analytical and summary component, as standard.
All staff who supervise the contact are qualified social workers and we endeavour to ensure that the same worker supervises contact for as long as contact is required.

This is our priority at all times All supervision is considered high vigilant. Close supervision of the contact throughout its duration. A full report on the meeting, including an analysis and summary. Report for the Court and if required attendance in Court.
Familyfocus can work with local authorities, solicitors, the Court, independent agencies as well as private individuals to provide a supervised contact service that is of benefit to all involved.
Written referrals only are accepted. Alongside this a clear contact plan and contact agreement must be included. Familyfocus are able to offer support and guidance in producing these plans if they are not in place at the time of referral.
We do not have our own contact centre currently. However we will supervise contact within the family home, or find a suitable venue, subject to the agreement of all parties involved.
We do not however supervise contact in public swimming pools or public play zones. Our service is entirely independent and impartial, regardless of whether an individual or agency makes a request to us for supervised contact.
